3. at your hand th' account of hours to crave: i.e., request a written account of how you spent your hours.

4. vassal: underling.   stay: wait upon.

5. beck: a mute signal to approach, as in the phrase, "at her beck and call."

6. imprison'd: imprisoning.

7. tame to sufferance: trained to endure anything.   bide each cheque: submit to each rebuke.

9. list: please.   charter: acknowledged privilege.

10. privilege: license; assign.

12. self-doing: done by yourself.

13. am to: must.

14. pleasure: that which conforms to your will or wish.
