Another Lord, friend of Lennox

[This is an annotated list of all appearances and all mentions of Another Lord.]

Lennox, who was a guest at Macbeth's banquet, has come to realize that Macbeth is a murderous tyrant, and he is speaking with somebody about the suffering that Macbeth has caused. Lennox probably knows this somebody's name, but to us he's just "another Lord" -- that is, any right-thinking Scotsman. Of course he agrees with Lennox. As Lennox says, "My former speeches have but hit your thoughts, / Which can interpret further" (3.6.1-2).

This other Lord also delivers the news that Malcolm has fled to the English court, and that Macduff is going there to raise an army to overthrow Macbeth.      [Detailed Scene Summary]
