Half a share: Shakespeare's company shared in the profits of their theatrical enterprise according to the number of shares each member was allotted, and shares were determined by the member's value to the whole enterprise. I think Horatio is making a wry joke, to the effect that Hamlet's theatrical talents are only mediocre.
