| "Come give us a taste of your quality, come a passionate speech" (2.2.432), Hamlet urges the players, and First Player recites "Aeneas' tale to Dido . . . where he speaks of Priam's slaughter." Hecuba, Priam's wife, runs through the streets weeping for her husband, and when First Player gets to this part of the speech, he weeps.
