About the Text

It was originally downloaded from The Complete Works of William Shakespeare website, and reformatted so that the line numbering generally conforms to that of The Riverside Shakespeare. (Due to the limitations of HTML, there are minor variations in all of the prose passages.) Finally, it was checked for accuracy against three editions:
